Göynük is a town of Kemer district of Antalya province, Türkiye. It is a touristic settlement with its Blue Flag sea and natural beauties. The town is 9 km away from the district center and 35 km away from the city center. There are three neighborhoods in the town: "Cumhuriyet Mahallesi", "Esentepe Mahallesi" and "Değirmendere Mahallesi".

The oldest known history of the region, where Lycians are known to have lived for 1600 years, dates back to B.C. It dates back to 690. The foundation of the ancient city of Phaselis coincides with these dates. The region, which was weakened by Arab raids in the 7th century, was later dominated by the Anatolian people. Civilizations such as Lukka, Lek, Solymos, Kevdi, Persian, Hellenic, Greek, Roman, Arab, Byzantine and Menteşeoğlu dominated the region, which has fertile lands.

The Luwi of the name Göynük is "Gökbük" in the Etruscan language, meaning "fertile plain on the river bank at the point where the blue sky meets the blue". It is understood that the ancient road called the Old Road in the north of the region connects Göynük to Pisidia, Termessos and Attelia (Antalya). In ancient times, the Göynük stream valley always had an important position, so it remained under the control of Pisidian marauding peoples. It is understood that the merchants descending from the plateau to the shore followed the coast to Phasalis in the west and to the Attelia plain in the east. Turkmen nomads, who settled in the Altınkaya and Cuma plateaus in the 11th century, revitalized this road by using it to descend to the coast, and later founded Göynük as a small settlement, a neighborhood connected to Kemer.

While it was previously a neighborhood within Kemer, which was the sub-district center at the time, it gained village status on October 15, 1971. It became a town by receiving municipality status on 30 November 1992. It became a neighborhood with the law no. 6360 adopted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 12 November 2012.
